Rachel Sobers is the Vice President of Social Affairs for Vanderbilt’s Chapter of Kappa Alpha Pi. She is a junior from Virginia Beach, Virginia pursuing majors in Political Science, English, and Spanish. As one of Vanderbilt’s Curb Scholars for Art, Enterprise, and Public Policy, Rachel is committed to exploring the intersection between law and media production. She currently serves as the manager for the Curb Center’s Podcasting and Music Production Studios, and she hopes to continue gaining experience with the technical underpinnings of intellectual property creation. Over the summer, Rachel interned at Baughman Kroup Bosse PLLC, a boutique litigation practice in Norfolk, Virginia. In this role, she gained valuable insight into the world of commercial litigation; by collaborating with attorneys and legal analysts, Rachel was able to immerse herself in the dynamic processes of discovery and trial. In the future, Rachel hopes to pursue a career in media law.
